It seems appropriate that my first blog on my new website should centre around my recent participation in the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year Competition 2026. My competition heat was held at Crow Park Keswick. It was an early start for the Wildcards as we were asked to arrive at 730am at the park to register. It was good to meet up with the other artists and chat about their goals. I even met an artist from Tickhill, Nottinghamshire, Ian Davenport which is very near to my home town. We were given a beautiful view over the lake, looking towards Catbells with the boathouse in full view. What could possibly go wrong?
