I was plein air painting in King’s Park Retford when I was approached by Helen who had been watching me paint the gardens. She asked if I could do a commission as an anniversary gift for her husband of one of their favourite places in Germany. Five weeks later this was the result. She was delighted with it and was overcome with emotion.
